Rules

This market resolves to “Yes” if the Government of Canada formally agrees to purchase submarines produced by a South Korean manufacturer at any point during calendar year 2026. A purchase is defined as the signing of a binding procurement contract or government agreement committing Canada to acquire the submarines. Expressions of interest, negotiations, memoranda of understanding, feasibility studies, or non-binding proposals do not qualify. The market resolves to “No” if no such binding purchase agreement is signed by 23:59 UTC on December 31, 2026. Resolution will be based on official Canadian government announcements and reporting from major defence or national news organizations.
