Rules

This market resolves to “Yes” if, between January 1 and January 31, 2026 (inclusive), a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer is killed in the line of duty in the United States. Killed in the line of duty means the death of an active ICE officer that occurs as a direct result of actions taken while performing official duties, as reported by official law enforcement sources or major reputable news organizations. Deaths from accidents, natural causes, illness, or off-duty incidents not directly tied to official law enforcement actions do not qualify under this definition. The market resolves to “No” if no qualifying line-of-duty death of an ICE officer occurs by 23:59 EST on January 31, 2026, based on official announcements and authoritative reporting. Note: As of late January 2026, several fatal shootings by federal agents have been reported during operations in Minneapolis, but there are no confirmed reports of any ICE officer being killed in the line of duty in January.
