Data Scientist (TPX Intelligence)

Target start date: Q2 2026 The Toronto Prediction Exchange (TPX) is a Toronto-based prediction contract exchange. We're building the infrastructure for a new asset class at the intersection of information markets, derivatives, and public forecasting. The Role We're looking for a Data Scientist to join TPX Intelligence, our market surveillance and integrity team. You'll build the models and systems that detect anomalous trading activity—including insider trading, market manipulation, toxic order flow, and other threats to market integrity. This is a high-impact role at an early-stage company where you'll define our surveillance capabilities from the ground up. Qualifications - Degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, or a related quantitative field; graduate degree (MSc, MEng, PhD) preferred - Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and time series analysis - Deep knowledge of applied Stochastic Calculus - Experience in quantitative finance is preferred - Experience with anomaly detection, pattern recognition, or signal processing is preferred What We're Looking For Beyond qualifications, we want someone who is genuinely excited about predictions.
