Question 1

How do I run a prediction market with friends?

Accepted Answer

Create a private market on any question with a clear answer, share the invite link or access code with your group, and everyone trades YES and NO shares from 1¢ to 99¢ on a real order book. When the answer is known, you settle it and the standings crown a winner.

Question 2

What can I use a private market for?

Accepted Answer

Bets with friends, office pools on launch dates or award shows, and mock trading games where you trade a number nobody knows yet and settle at the final value, which is good practice for quant trading interviews.

Question 3

Is it real money?

Accepted Answer

No. Private markets use play money only. Nobody deposits and nobody cashes out; you play for the top of the standings.

Question 4

How much does a private market cost?

Accepted Answer

Nothing. Creating a private market and inviting friends to it is free.

Question 5

Who can join my private market?

Accepted Answer

Only people with your invite link or access code can join and trade. Anyone can see the market, but not trade in it.

Question 6

Who decides the answer?

Accepted Answer

You do. The market's owner and admins settle it when the answer is known, and can halt trading or void trades if something goes wrong.
